JAMB Introduced New Regime For Indemnity Form
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new way for the authentication of the indemnity form in a bit to fortify it as well as make it fool-proof and devoid of any manipulation.
JAMB Introduced new Indemnity Form was made known to public by Registrar, JAMB, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, dropped this hint at a virtual meeting with the Heads of Tertiary Institutions held on Wednesday, 7th April 2021.

The Indemnity Form is an instrument designed by the Board to authenticate the genuineness of information supplied by candidates. It is to be noted that the form is filled by candidates requesting condonement of illegitimate admission, correction of data, inter university transfer, distance learning, among others The form must be endorsed by their respective Heads of institutions.
To preclude all abuses and fortify the process further, the Board has devised an
additional electronic platform to complement the hard copy form. These two (now NIN) to 55019, the Board's USSD code, to create their profiles.
The innovation was fortuitous as the Board had been seeking a fool-proof process that would eliminate the wanton extortion of candidates and the errors emanating from registration officials having to type unfamiliar names into the system. This was the situation until a stakeholders' meeting involving banks and other service providers where Mr Obidiegwu came up with a suggestion that candidates could be asked to send their names to a USSD code provided by the Board to create a profile through which they would be registered. This suggestion revolutionised the registration process as candidates would be the ones to type their names thereby eliminating the incidence of wrongful spellings or arrangement of candidates' names among other seemingly intractable problems.
